¹² It may be that the Lord will look on ^[a]my affliction, and that the Lord will ^(A)repay me with ^(B)good for his cursing this day.”

¹⁰ For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, ^(A)that we may be partakers of His holiness.

⁵ Nevertheless the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God ^(A)loves you.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those ^(A)who are the called according to His purpose.

²⁴ So God ^(A)heard their groaning, and God ^(B)remembered His ^(C)covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. ²⁵ And God ^(D)looked upon the children of Israel, and God ^(E)acknowledged them.

^11 (A)Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of ^(B)evil against you falsely for My sake. ^12 (C)Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for ^(D)so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

⁷ and to give you who are troubled ^(A)rest with us when ^(B)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,

¹¹ Then she ^(A)made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed ^(B)look on the affliction of Your maidservant and ^(C)remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and ^(D)no razor shall come upon his head.”
