¹³ So David and his men, ^(A)about six hundred, arose and departed from Keilah and went wherever they could go. Then it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; so he halted the expedition.

⁶ And now may ^(A)the Lord show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness, because you have done this thing.

^37 (A)They were stoned, they were sawn in two, ^[a]were tempted, were slain with the sword. ^(B)They wandered about ^(C)in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— ³⁸ of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, ^(D)in dens and caves of the earth.
