And he said, ^(B)“As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

^26 (A)And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did not want to refuse her.

³⁹ For ^(A)as the Lord lives, who saves Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die.” But not a man among all the people answered him.
