⁶ So Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill, and when the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make a couple of cakes in my sight, so that I may eat from her hand.”^(A)

⁶ And Abraham hastened into the tent to Sarah and said, “Make ready quickly three measures^[a] of choice flour, knead it, and make cakes.”

The Parable of the Yeast

³³ He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with^[a] three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.”^(A)
