²⁷ And when her mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she ^(A)became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done ^(B)displeased^[a] the Lord.

^9 (A)Why have you ^(B)despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? ^(C)You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon.

⁷ And ^[a]God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.

²⁹ then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman’s father ^(A)fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife ^(B)because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days.

¹⁰ And the thing which he did ^[a]displeased the Lord; therefore He killed ^(A)him also.

^4 (A)Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; ^(B)but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹³ And ^(A)David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron. Also more sons and daughters were born to David. ¹⁴ Now ^(B)these are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: ^[a]Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, ^(C)Solomon, ¹⁵ Ibhar, ^[b]Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia, ¹⁶ Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.
