⁸ Then the people of Ammon came out and put themselves in battle array at the entrance of the gate. And ^(A)the Syrians of Zoba, Beth Rehob, Ish-Tob, and Maacah were by themselves in the field.

⁶ When the people of Ammon saw that they ^(A)had made themselves repulsive to David, the people of Ammon sent and hired ^(B)the Syrians of ^(C)Beth Rehob and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand foot soldiers; and from the king of ^(D)Maacah one thousand men, and from ^(E)Ish-Tob twelve thousand men.

⁷ So they hired for themselves thirty-two thousand chariots, with the king of Maacah and his people, who came and encamped before Medeba. Also the people of Ammon gathered together from their cities, and came to battle.

^31 (A)Nor did Asher drive out the inhabitants of Acco or the inhabitants of Sidon, or of Ahlab, Achzib, Helbah, Aphik, or Rehob.

²¹ So they went up and spied out the land ^(A)from the Wilderness of Zin as far as ^(B)Rehob, near the entrance of ^(C)Hamath.
