Final Exhortations

^13 (A)Watch, ^(B)stand fast in the faith, be brave, ^(C)be strong.

^6 (A)Be strong and of good courage, ^(B)do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, ^(C)He is the One who goes with you. ^(D)He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

¹⁸ Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, ^(A)“It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.”

⁶ So we may boldly say:

¹⁴ And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, ^(A)“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, ^(B)great and awesome, and ^(C)fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”

^9 (A)Be strong and conduct yourselves like men, you Philistines, that you do not become servants of the Hebrews, ^(B)as they have been to you. ^[a]Conduct yourselves like men, and fight!”

¹⁵ And the children of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned! ^(A)Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”

¹³ Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the Lord do what is good in His sight.”
