¹⁰ So I stood over him and ^(A)killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord.”

² For with what ^[a]judgment you judge, you will be judged; ^(A)and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

⁵⁴ Then ^(A)he called quickly to the young man, his armorbearer, and said to him, “Draw your sword and kill me, lest men say of me, ‘A woman killed him.’ ” So his young man thrust him through, and he died.

¹² And he brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, and gave him the ^(A)Testimony;^[a] they made him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, ^(B)“Long live the king!”

^30 (A)Then he took their king’s crown from his head. Its weight was a talent of gold, with precious stones. And it was set on David’s head. Also he brought out the ^[a]spoil of the city in great abundance.

^4 (A)Then Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest ^(B)these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and ^[a]abuse me.”

But his armorbearer would not, ^(C)for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and ^(D)fell on it. ⁵ And when his armorbearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword, and died with him.

¹⁸ And the king said to Doeg, “You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and ^[a]struck the priests, and ^(A)killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

⁷ And Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; ^(A)as I have done, so God has repaid me.” Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.
