6 et celui-ci leur dit: «Vous transmettrez le message suivant à votre maître: ‘Voici ce que dit l'Eternel: Ne te laisse pas effrayer par les paroles que tu as entendues et par lesquelles les serviteurs du roi d'Assyrie m'ont insulté. 7 Je vais mettre en lui un état d’esprit tel que, sur une nouvelle qu'il recevra, il retournera dans son pays, et là-bas je le ferai tomber par l'épée.’»
8 Rabshaké se retira et alla rejoindre le roi d'Assyrie au beau milieu de son combat contre Libna, car il avait appris son départ de Lakis.

New International Version
6 Isaiah said to them, “Tell your master, ‘This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid(A) of what you have heard—those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed(B) me. 7 Listen! When he hears a certain report,(C) I will make him want to return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.(D)’”
8 When the field commander heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish,(E) he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah.(F)

6 Isaiah said to them, “Say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which (A)the servants of the king of Assyria have (B)reviled me. 7 Behold, I will put a spirit in him, so that (C)he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land, and I will make him (D)fall by the sword in his own land.’”
