Milagro para ayudar a una viuda
4 La esposa de uno de los del grupo de profetas se acercó a Eliseo gritando:
—Mi esposo fue uno de tus siervos, y ahora está muerto. Tú sabes cómo honraba al SEÑOR. ¡Pero le debía dinero a un hombre que ahora viene a quitarme a mis dos hijos para que sean sus esclavos!
2 Eliseo le contestó:
—¿Cómo te puedo ayudar? Dime, ¿qué hay en tu casa?
La mujer dijo:
—No tengo nada, sólo un frasco de aceite de oliva.
3 Entonces Eliseo dijo:
—Ve y habla con tus vecinos y pídeles prestados todos los frascos vacíos que tengan, todos los que puedas. 4 Entra a tu casa y cierra la puerta, que estén sólo tú y tus hijos adentro. Usa el frasco de aceite y llena cada frasco vacío, uno tras otro.
5 Ella salió de hablar con Eliseo, entró a su casa y cerró la puerta, con sólo ella y sus dos hijos adentro. Sus dos hijos le llevaban los frascos y ella los llenaba. 6 Cuando todos los frascos ya estaban llenos, ella le preguntó a su hijo:
—¿No quedan más frascos?
Él le dijo:
—No hay más.
Entonces el aceite dejó de fluir.
7 Luego le contó al hombre de Dios lo que había pasado, y Eliseo le dijo:
—Ve, vende el aceite y paga tu deuda. Con lo que queda podrán sostenerse tú y tus hijos.
La mujer de Sunén y Eliseo
8 Un día Eliseo fue a Sunén, donde vivía una mujer importante. Ella insistió en que Eliseo se quedara a comer en su casa. Así que cada vez que Eliseo pasaba por aquel lugar se detenía para comer ahí.
9 La mujer le dijo a su esposo:
—Mira, tú sabes que Eliseo es un hombre santo de Dios y que siempre pasa por nuestra casa. 10 Por favor, hagámosle un cuarto en la planta alta. Pongámosle una cama en el cuarto con una mesita, una silla y una lámpara. Entonces, cuando se hospede en nuestra casa podrá tener su propio cuarto.
11 Un día Eliseo se hospedó en la casa y entró al cuarto para descansar. 12 Eliseo le dijo a su siervo Guiezi:
—Llama a esta mujer sunamita.
El siervo la llamó y ella fue y lo atendió. 13 Eliseo le dijo:
—Ahora dile: “Mira, has hecho lo mejor que has podido para atendernos. ¿Qué podemos hacer por ti? ¿Quieres que hablemos de tu parte al rey o al comandante del ejército?”
Ella contestó:
—Estoy contenta viviendo entre mi pueblo.
14 Eliseo le dijo a Guiezi:
—¿Qué podemos hacer por ella?
Él contestó:
¡Ya sé! Ella no tiene hijos y su esposo ya es viejo.
15 Entonces Eliseo le dijo:
—Llámala de nuevo.
Entonces Guiezi la llamó y ella se acercó para atenderlo. 16 Eliseo le dijo:
—Para la primavera entrante tendrás en brazos a tu propio hijo.
La mujer respondió:
—¡No, señor! ¡Que el hombre de Dios no me mienta!
17 Sin embargo, la mujer quedó embarazada y la siguiente primavera dio a luz a un hijo, tal como Eliseo le había dicho. 18 El niño creció y se llegó el día en que ya podía salir a trabajar en la cosecha con su papá. 19 Estando en eso, gritó a su papá:
—¡Ay, mi cabeza! ¡Me duele la cabeza!
El papá le dijo al criado:
—Llévenlo a su mamá.
20 Lo llevaron a donde estaba la mamá y ella lo acostó en su falda y por la tarde el niño murió.
La sunamita va a ver a Eliseo
21 La mujer subió y acostó al niño en la cama del hombre de Dios. Cerró la puerta y salió del cuarto. 22 Llamó a su esposo y le dijo:
—Por favor, mándame a uno de los siervos con un burro para ir rápido a buscar al hombre de Dios, y volver en seguida. 23 El hombre le contestó:
—¿Por qué vas a buscarlo hoy si no es Luna Nueva ni día de descanso?
Ella dijo:
—¡Adiós![a]
24 Entonces ensilló el burro y le dijo al siervo:
—¡Vámonos, apúrate! No aminores la marcha a menos que yo te lo diga.
25 La mujer fue al monte Carmelo para buscar al hombre de Dios.
Cuando el hombre de Dios vio que la sunamita se acercaba, Eliseo le dijo a su siervo Guiezi:
—¡Mira, ahí está la sunamita! 26 ¡Corre a su encuentro! Pregúntale: ¿Qué te pasa? ¿Estás bien? ¿Está bien tu esposo? ¿Está bien el niño?
Ella respondió al criado:
—Todo está bien.[b]
27 Pero la sunamita subió hasta donde estaba el hombre de Dios. Se aferró a los pies de Eliseo, y Guiezi se acercó para quitarla. Pero el hombre de Dios le dijo a Guiezi:
—¡Déjala en paz! Está desconsolada y el SEÑOR no me advirtió de nada, me ocultó esta noticia.
28 Entonces ella dijo:
—Señor, yo no te pedí un hijo. Te dije: “No me tomes el pelo”.
29 Entonces Eliseo le dijo a Guiezi:
—Prepárate para el viaje. ¡Agarra mi bastón y vete ya! Si encuentras a alguien por el camino, no lo saludes, y si alguien te saluda no te detengas para contestar el saludo. Coloca mi bastón en la cara del niño.
30 Sin embargo la madre del niño le dijo:
—¡Juro por el SEÑOR viviente y por su vida que no me iré sin usted!
Así que Eliseo se levantó y la siguió.
31 Guiezi llegó a la casa antes que Eliseo y la mujer sunamita. Guiezi colocó el bastón en la cara del niño, pero el niño no habló ni respondió nada. Entonces Guiezi salió al encuentro de Eliseo y le dijo:
—¡El niño no se despierta!
32 Eliseo entró a la casa y ahí estaba el niño, muerto, tendido en su cama. 33 Eliseo entró al cuarto y cerró la puerta. Entonces oró al SEÑOR. 34 Después Eliseo se acercó a la cama y se acostó sobre el niño. Puso sus ojos donde estaban los ojos del niño, su boca en la boca del niño, sus manos arriba de las manos del niño. Se acostó encima del niño hasta que su cuerpo entró en calor. 35 Entonces Eliseo se volvió y salió del cuarto. De nuevo entró en el cuarto hasta que el niño estornudó siete veces y abrió los ojos.
36 Eliseo llamó a Guiezi y le dijo:
—¡Llama a la sunamita!
Guiezi la llamó y ella se acercó a Eliseo, quien le dijo:
—¡Toma al niño!
37 Entonces la mujer sunamita entró al cuarto y arrojándose a los pies de Eliseo se postró ante él. Entonces ella tomó a su hijo y salió.
Eliseo y la sopa envenenada
38 Eliseo otra vez fue a Guilgal en una época de gran escasez de alimentos en el país. El grupo de profetas estaba sentado ante Eliseo, quien le dijo a su siervo:
—Pon una olla grande en el fogón y haz sopa para los profetas.
39 Uno de los profetas salió al campo para juntar unas hierbas y encontró una planta de calabazas silvestres. Juntó las calabazas en su ropa y las llevó, las cortó y las cocinó en la sopa sin saber qué eran. 40 Sirvieron a los hombres para que comieran, pero cuando empezaron a comer, gritaron:
—Esta sopa está envenenada.
Y ya no comieron más.
41 Pero Eliseo dijo:
—Tráiganme harina.
Eliseo añadió la harina en la sopa y dijo:
—Dénsela a la gente para que coma.
Y la sopa no les hizo daño.
Eliseo alimenta a unos profetas
42 Un hombre llegó de Baal Salisá con pan hecho de la primera cosecha para el hombre de Dios. Había 20 panes de cebada y grano entero en una bolsa. Entonces Eliseo dijo:
—Dáselo a la gente para que coma.
43 El siervo de Eliseo respondió:
—¿Qué me dices? Aquí hay más de 100 hombres. ¿Cómo voy a alimentar con esta comida a todos ellos?
Pero Eliseo insistió:
—Dale la comida a la gente para que coma. El SEÑOR dice: “Comerán suficiente y habrá comida de sobra”.
44 El siervo de Eliseo puso la comida a disposición del grupo de profetas. Comieron suficiente y hubo de sobra. Ocurrió tal como el SEÑOR había dicho.

4 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.
17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
18 And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.
22 And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
23 And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
24 Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.
25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:
27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
28 Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
29 Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
30 And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord.
34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
35 Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
41 But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
43 And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
44 So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord.

Elisha and the Widow’s Oil(A)
4 A certain woman of the wives of (B)the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming (C)to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; (D)do not gather just a few. 4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. 6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
Elisha Raises the Shunammite’s Son(E)
8 Now it happened one day that Elisha went to (F)Shunem, where there was a [a]notable woman, and she [b]persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. 9 And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. 10 Please, let us make [c]a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”
11 And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there. 12 Then he said to (G)Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him. 13 And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ”
She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”
14 So he said, “What then is to be done for her?”
And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.”
15 So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. 16 Then he said, [d]“About this time next year you shall embrace a son.”
And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, (H)do not lie to your maidservant!”
17 But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.
18 And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers. 19 And he said to his father, “My head, my head!”
So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.” 20 When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. 21 And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out. 22 Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.”
23 So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the (I)New Moon nor the Sabbath.”
And she said, [e]“It is well.” 24 Then she saddled a donkey, and said to her servant, “Drive, and go forward; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.” 25 And so she departed, and went to the man of God (J)at Mount Carmel.
So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! 26 Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’ ”
And she answered, “It is well.” 27 Now when she came to the man of God at the hill, she caught him by the feet, but Gehazi came near to push her away. But the man of God said, “Let her alone; for her soul is in deep distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me, and has not told me.”
28 So she said, “Did I ask a son of my lord? (K)Did I not say, ‘Do not deceive me’?”
29 Then he said to Gehazi, (L)“Get[f] yourself ready, and take my staff in your hand, and be on your way. If you meet anyone, (M)do not greet him; and if anyone greets you, do not answer him; but (N)lay my staff on the face of the child.”
30 And the mother of the child said, (O)“As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not (P)leave you.” So he arose and followed her. 31 Now Gehazi went on ahead of them, and laid the staff on the face of the child; but there was neither voice nor hearing. Therefore he went back to meet him, and told him, saying, “The child has (Q)not awakened.”
32 When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. 33 He (R)went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, (S)and prayed to the Lord. 34 And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and (T)he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. 35 He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up (U)and stretched himself out on him; then (V)the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. 36 And he called Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite woman.” So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, “Pick up your son.” 37 So she went in, fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground; then she (W)picked up her son and went out.
Elisha Purifies the Pot of Stew
38 And Elisha returned to (X)Gilgal, and there was a (Y)famine in the land. Now the sons of the prophets were (Z)sitting before him; and he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.” 39 So one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered from it a lapful of wild gourds, and came and sliced them into the pot of stew, though they did not know what they were. 40 Then they served it to the men to eat. Now it happened, as they were eating the stew, that they cried out and said, “Man of God, there is (AA)death in the pot!” And they could not eat it.
41 So he said, “Then bring some flour.” And (AB)he put it into the pot, and said, “Serve it to the people, that they may eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
Elisha Feeds One Hundred Men(AC)
42 Then a man came from (AD)Baal Shalisha, (AE)and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people, that they may eat.”
43 But his servant said, (AF)“What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?”
He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: (AG)‘They shall eat and have some left over.’ ” 44 So he set it before them; and they ate (AH)and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.

Elisha and the Shunammite Woman
8 One day Elisha went on to (D)Shunem, where a (E)wealthy woman lived, who urged him to eat some food. So whenever he passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food. 9 And she said to her husband, “Behold now, I know that this is a holy (F)man of God who is continually passing our way. 10 Let us make a small room on the roof with walls and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us, he can go in there.”
11 One day he came there, and he turned into the chamber and rested there. 12 And he said to (G)Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite.” When he had called her, she stood before him. 13 And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to (H)the commander of the army?’” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.” 14 And he said, “What then is to be done for her?” Gehazi answered, “Well, she has no son, and her husband is old.” 15 He said, “Call her.” And when he had called her, she stood in the doorway. 16 And he said, “At this season, (I)about this time next year, you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord, (J)O man of God; (K)do not lie to your servant.” 17 But the woman conceived, and she bore a son about that time (L)the following spring, as Elisha had said to her.

18 When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father among the reapers. 19 And he said to his father, “Oh, (M)my head, my head!” The father said to his servant, “Carry him to his mother.” 20 And when he had lifted him and brought him to his mother, the child sat on her lap till noon, and then he died. 21 And she went up (N)and laid him on the bed of the (O)man of God and shut the door behind him and went out. 22 Then she called to her husband and said, “Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may quickly go to (P)the man of God and come back again.” 23 And he said, “Why will you go to him today? It is neither (Q)new moon nor Sabbath.” She said, “All is well.” 24 Then she saddled the donkey, and she said to her servant, “Urge the animal on; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.” 25 So she set out and came to the man of God (R)at Mount Carmel.
When the man of God saw her coming, he said to Gehazi his servant, “Look, there is the Shunammite. 26 Run at once to meet her and say to her, ‘Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?’” And she answered, “All is well.” 27 And when she came (S)to the mountain to the man of God, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came to push her away. But the man of God said, “Leave her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.” 28 Then she said, “Did I ask my lord for a son? (T)Did I not say, ‘Do not deceive me?’” 29 He said to Gehazi, (U)“Tie up your garment and (V)take my staff in your hand and go. If you meet anyone, (W)do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not reply. And (X)lay my staff on the face of the child.” 30 Then the mother of the child said, (Y)“As the Lord lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So he arose and followed her. 31 Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him, “The child (Z)has not awakened.”
32 When Elisha came into the house, he saw the child lying dead on his bed. 33 So he went in and (AA)shut the door behind the two of them (AB)and prayed to the Lord. 34 Then he went up and lay on the child, putting his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as (AC)he stretched himself upon him, the flesh of the child became warm. 35 Then he got up again and walked once back and forth in the house, and went up (AD)and stretched himself upon him. The child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. 36 Then he summoned Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite.” So he called her. And when she came to him, he said, “Pick up your son.” 37 She came and fell at his feet, bowing to the ground. (AE)Then she picked up her son and went out.
Elisha Purifies the Deadly Stew
38 And Elisha came again to (AF)Gilgal when (AG)there was a famine in the land. And as (AH)the sons of the prophets (AI)were sitting before him, he said to his servant, (AJ)“Set on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.” 39 One of them went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered from it his lap full of wild gourds, and came and cut them up into the pot of stew, not knowing what they were. 40 And they poured out some for the men to eat. But while they were eating of the stew, they cried out, “O man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it. 41 He said, “Then bring flour.” (AK)And he threw it into the pot and said, “Pour some out for the men, that they may eat.” And there was no harm in the pot.
42 A man came from (AL)Baal-shalishah, (AM)bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, (AN)“Give to the men, that they may eat.” 43 But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’” 44 So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the Lord.
