7 Então, disse Eliseu: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor; assim diz o Senhor: Amanhã, quase a este tempo, uma medida de farinha haverá por um siclo, e duas medidas de cevada, por um siclo, à porta de Samaria. 2 Porém um capitão, em cuja mão o rei se encostava, respondeu ao homem de Deus e disse: Eis que, ainda que o Senhor fizesse janelas no céu, poder-se-ia fazer isso? E ele disse: Eis que o verás com os teus olhos, porém daí não comerás.
3 E quatro homens leprosos estavam à entrada da porta, os quais disseram uns aos outros: Para que estaremos nós aqui até morrermos?

7 Eliseu respondeu:
—Escutem a mensagem do SENHOR! O SENHOR diz: “Amanhã a esta hora, na entrada da cidade, poderão comprar três quilos[a] de farinha fina por tão só uma moeda de prata[b], e seis quilos de cevada pelo mesmo preço”.
2 Então o oficial ajudante do rei respondeu ao homem de Deus:
—Isso não aconteceria ainda que o SENHOR abrisse as janelas do céu.
Eliseu disse:
—Você vai ver isso com os seus próprios olhos, mas não poderá comer nada.
3 Quatro leprosos que estavam na porta da cidade disseram uns aos outros:
—De que nos serve estar aqui sentados esperando a morte?

7 Elisha replied, “Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Lord says: About this time tomorrow, a seah[a] of the finest flour will sell for a shekel[b] and two seahs[c] of barley for a shekel(A) at the gate of Samaria.”
2 The officer on whose arm the king was leaning(B) said to the man of God, “Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates(C) of the heavens, could this happen?”
“You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha, “but you will not eat(D) any of it!”
The Siege Lifted
3 Now there were four men with leprosy[d](E) at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die?
