28 E fez o que era mal aos olhos do Senhor; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, que fez pecar a Israel.
29 Nos dias de Peca, rei de Israel, veio Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, e tomou a Ijom, e Abel-Bete-Maaca, e a Janoa, e a Quedes, e a Hazor, e a Gileade, e à Galileia, e à toda a terra de Naftali, e os levou para a Assíria. 30 E Oseias, filho de Elá, conspirou contra Peca, filho de Remalias, e o feriu, e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar, no vigésimo ano de Jotão, filho de Uzias.

29 Tiglate-Pileser, rei de Assíria, atacou a Israel durante o reinado de Peca. Ele conquistou a Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maacá, Janoa, Quedes, Hazor, Gileade, Galileia e toda a região ao norte de Naftali. Ele também fez prisioneiros aos habitantes e os levou para Assíria.
30 No ano vinte do reinado de Jotão, filho de Uzias, em Judá; Oseias, filho de Elá, fez planos contra Peca, filho de Remalias. Oseias o matou e reinou no seu lugar.

28 He did evil in the eyes of the Lord. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.
29 In the time of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser(A) king of Assyria came and took Ijon,(B) Abel Beth Maakah, Janoah, Kedesh and Hazor. He took Gilead and Galilee, including all the land of Naphtali,(C) and deported(D) the people to Assyria. 30 Then Hoshea(E) son of Elah conspired against Pekah son of Remaliah. He attacked and assassinated(F) him, and then succeeded him as king in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.
