⁹ then ^(A)the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but ^(A)God is faithful, ^(B)who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to ^[a]bear it.

¹⁰ Because you have kept ^[a]My command to persevere, ^(A)I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon ^(B)the whole world, to test those who dwell ^(C)on the earth.

¹⁴ Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the ^(A)harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

¹² Yes, and ^(A)all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

⁷ But ^(A)the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for ^(B)fire until the day of judgment and ^[a]perdition of ungodly men.

^10 (A)For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, ^(B)that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. ¹¹ Knowing, therefore, ^(C)the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.
