³⁴ The Romans also sent them a letter, which read thus:

“Quintus Mem′mius and Titus Man′ius, envoys of the Romans, to the people of the Jews, greeting. ³⁵ With regard to what Lys′ias the kinsman of the king has granted you, we also give consent.
