25 So she came to the man of God at Mount Carmel.(A)

When the man of God saw her at a distance, he said to his attendant Gehazi,(B) ‘Look, there’s the Shunammite woman.(C) 26 Run out to meet her and ask, “Are you alright? Is your husband alright? Is your son alright? ” ’

And she answered, ‘It’s all right.’

27 When she came up to the man of God at the mountain, she clung to his feet.(D) Gehazi came to push her away, but the man of God said, ‘Leave her alone – she is in severe anguish,(E) and the Lord has hidden it from me. He hasn’t told me.’

25 So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel.(A)

When he saw her in the distance, the man of God said to his servant Gehazi, “Look! There’s the Shunammite! 26 Run to meet her and ask her, ‘Are you all right? Is your husband all right? Is your child all right?’”

“Everything is all right,” she said.

27 When she reached the man of God at the mountain, she took hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone! She is in bitter distress,(B) but the Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me why.”

So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! 26 Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’ ”

And she answered, “It is well.” 27 Now when she came to the man of God at the hill, she caught him by the feet, but Gehazi came near to push her away. But the man of God said, “Let her alone; for her soul is in deep distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me, and has not told me.”
