15 They rejected His statutes and His covenant He had made with their ancestors(A) and the decrees He had given them. They pursued worthless idols and became worthless themselves,(B) following the surrounding nations the Lord had commanded them not to imitate.(C)

16 They abandoned all the commands of the Lord their God. They made cast images(D) for themselves, two calves, and an Asherah pole.(E) They worshiped the whole heavenly host(F) and served Baal.(G) 17 They made their sons and daughters pass through the fire(H) and practiced divination and interpreted omens.(I) They devoted themselves to do what was evil in the Lord’s sight and provoked Him.(J)

15 They rejected his decrees and the covenant(A) he had made with their ancestors and the statutes he had warned them to keep. They followed worthless idols(B) and themselves became worthless.(C) They imitated the nations(D) around them although the Lord had ordered them, “Do not do as they do.”

16 They forsook all the commands of the Lord their God and made for themselves two idols cast in the shape of calves,(E) and an Asherah(F) pole. They bowed down to all the starry hosts,(G) and they worshiped Baal.(H) 17 They sacrificed(I) their sons and daughters in the fire. They practiced divination and sought omens(J) and sold(K) themselves to do evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

16 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
