2 Kings 17:15-17

15 They rejected His statutes and His covenant He had made with their ancestors(A) and the decrees He had given them. They pursued worthless idols and became worthless themselves,(B) following the surrounding nations the Lord had commanded them not to imitate.(C)
16 They abandoned all the commands of the Lord their God. They made cast images(D) for themselves, two calves, and an Asherah pole.(E) They worshiped the whole heavenly host(F) and served Baal.(G) 17 They made their sons and daughters pass through the fire(H) and practiced divination and interpreted omens.(I) They devoted themselves to do what was evil in the Lord’s sight and provoked Him.(J)

15 They despised his statutes (A)and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after (B)false idols (C)and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the (D)Lord had commanded them that they should not do like them. 16 And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made for themselves metal images of (E)two calves; and they (F)made an Asherah and (G)worshiped all the host of heaven and served (H)Baal. 17 (I)And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings[a] and used (J)divination and (K)omens and (L)sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
