26 For the Lord (A)saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter; and whether bond or free, (B)there was no helper for Israel. 27 (C)And the Lord did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven; but He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.
28 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did—his might, how he made war, and how he recaptured for Israel, from (D)Damascus and Hamath, (E)what had belonged to Judah—are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

28 Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam and all that he did, and his might, how he fought, and how he restored (D)Damascus and (E)Hamath to Judah in Israel, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

26 The Lord had seen how bitterly everyone in Israel, whether slave or free,(A) was suffering;[a](B) there was no one to help them.(C) 27 And since the Lord had not said he would blot out(D) the name of Israel from under heaven, he saved(E) them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash.
28 As for the other events of Jeroboam’s reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus(F) and Hamath,(G) which had belonged to Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals(H) of the kings of Israel?
