²¹ All the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king to succeed his father Amaziah.

²² He rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah, after King Amaziah^[a] slept with his ancestors.^(A)

² He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.^(A)

³ He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done.
