⁸ For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; I will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel.^(A)

²² God do so to David^[a] and more also if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him.”^(A)

²⁶ For the Lord saw that the distress of Israel was very bitter; there was no one left, bond or free, and no one to help Israel.^(A)

¹⁷ When he came to Samaria, he killed all who were left to Ahab in Samaria, until he had wiped them out according to the word of the Lord that he spoke to Elijah.^(A)

²¹ I will bring disaster on you; I will consume you and will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel,^{(A) 22} and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah, because you have provoked me to anger and have caused Israel to sin.

¹⁰ therefore I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam. I will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both bond and free in Israel, and will consume the house of Jeroboam, just as one burns up dung until it is all gone.^{(A) 11} Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone who dies in the open country the birds of the air shall eat, for the Lord has spoken.’^(B)
