⁷ And when the king of Israel read the letter, ^(A)he tore his clothes and said, ^(B)“Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only ^(C)consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me.”

⁷ Then the king of Israel called all the ^(A)elders of the land and said, ^(B)“Mark, now, and see how this man is seeking trouble, for he sent to me for my wives and my children, and for my silver and my gold, and I did not refuse him.”

Israel and Judah Are Unrepentant
