¹⁰ Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay^(A) there whenever he comes to us.”

¹³ Share with the Lord’s people who are in need.^(A) Practice hospitality.^(B)

⁴¹ Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. ⁴² And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”^(A)

⁴⁰ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’^(A)

⁹ Offer hospitality^(A) to one another without grumbling.^{(B) 10} Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others,^(C) as faithful^(D) stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

² Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers,^(A) for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.^(B)

²⁴ And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,^(A)

³ Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s^(A) household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

⁴¹ Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.^(A)
