²⁰ The next morning, about the time^(A) for offering the sacrifice, there it was—water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.^(B)

³⁹ Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.^{(A) 40} With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah^[a] of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin^[b] of oil^(B) from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.^(C)

²¹ while I was still in prayer, Gabriel,^(A) the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.^(B)

³⁶ At the time^(A) of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham,^(B) Isaac and Israel, let it be known^(C) today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.^(D)
