⁷ And he broke down the houses of ^(A)the male cult prostitutes who were in the house of the Lord, ^(B)where the women wove hangings for ^(C)the Asherah.

¹⁶ You took some of your garments and made for yourself colorful shrines, and on them played the whore. The like has never been, nor ever shall be.^[a]

³³ And Josiah took away ^(A)all the abominations from all the territory that belonged to the people of Israel and made all who were present in Israel serve the Lord their God. All his days they did not turn away from following the Lord, the God of their fathers.
