⁷ But no accounting shall be asked from them for the silver that is delivered into their hand, for they deal honestly.”^(A)

¹⁵ They did not ask an accounting from those into whose hand they delivered the silver to pay out to the workers, for they dealt honestly.^(A)

² Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.

²⁰ We are making this arrangement lest anyone blame us about this generous gift that we are administering, ²¹ for we are setting our minds on what is right not only before the Lord but also before the people.^(A)

¹⁰ “Whoever is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much, and whoever is dishonest in a very little is dishonest also in much.^{(A) 11} If, then, you have not been faithful with the dishonest wealth,^[a] who will entrust to you the true riches?^{(B) 12} And if you have not been faithful with what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own?

² I gave my brother Hanani charge over Jerusalem, along with Hananiah the commander of the citadel, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.^(A)

¹⁴ When they had finished, they brought the rest of the silver to the king and Jehoiada, and with it were made utensils for the house of the Lord, utensils for the service and for the burnt offerings, and ladles, and vessels of gold and silver. They offered burnt offerings in the house of the Lord regularly all the days of Jehoiada.

⁵ Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you;^(A)

² and what you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.^(A)
