Elisha Performs Miracles

¹⁹ Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground barren.”

² And all these blessings shall come upon you and ^(A)overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

^3 (B)“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be ^(C)in the country.

⁴ “Blessed shall be ^(D)the ^[a]fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

^26 (A)No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will ^(B)fulfill the number of your days.

¹¹ And ^(A)the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord ^[a]swore to your fathers to give you.

Curses on Disobedience^(A)

¹⁵ “But it shall come to pass, ^(B)if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

¹⁶ “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.

¹⁷ “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

¹⁸ “Cursed shall be the ^[a]fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

¹¹ So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please ^(A)do not lay ^[a]this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.

²³ Now when they came to ^(A)Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called ^[a]Marah.

¹⁹ Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod and ^(A)stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their streams, over their rivers, over their ponds, and over all their pools of water, that they may become blood. And there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in buckets of wood and pitchers of stone.’ ”

³⁴ In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho. He laid its foundation ^[a]with Abiram his firstborn, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates, ^(A)according to the word of the Lord, which He had spoken through Joshua the son of Nun.
