⁴⁶ And lest your heart faint,
And you fear ^(A)for the rumor that will be heard in the land
(A rumor will come one year,
And after that, in another year
A rumor will come,
And violence in the land,
Ruler against ruler),

⁴ But ^(A)with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall ^(B)strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.

¹⁶ Therefore the Lord, the ^[a]Lord of hosts,
Will send leanness among his fat ones;
And under his glory
He will kindle a burning
Like the burning of a fire.
¹⁷ So the Light of Israel will be for a fire,
And his Holy One for a flame;
^(A)It will burn and devour
His thorns and his briers in one day.
¹⁸ And it will consume the glory of his forest and of ^(B)his fruitful field,
Both soul and body;
And they will be as when a sick man wastes away.

³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent;
^(A)A fire shall devour before Him,
And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.
