¹⁹ Now therefore, O Lord our God, I pray, save us from his hand, ^(A)that all the kingdoms of the earth may ^(B)know that You are the Lord God, You alone.”

⁴³ hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, ^(A)that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and ^(B)fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.

¹⁵ Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said: “O Lord God of Israel, the One ^(A)who dwells between the cherubim, ^(B)You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

²⁸ Then a ^(A)man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because the Syrians have said, “The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore ^(B)I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

³⁶ And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord ^(A)God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, ^(B)let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that ^(C)I have done all these things at Your word. ³⁷ Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

⁴⁵ Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. ^(A)But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have ^(B)defied. ⁴⁶ This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give ^(C)the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, ^(D)that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. ⁴⁷ Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord ^(E)does not save with sword and spear; for ^(F)the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
