³⁷ And the statutes and the rules and the law and the commandment that he wrote for you, ^(A)you shall always be careful to do. ^(B)You shall not fear other gods,

^13 (A)You came down on Mount Sinai ^(B)and spoke with them from heaven and gave them ^(C)right rules and true laws, good statutes and commandments, ^14 (D)and you made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses your servant.

^32 [a] “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. ^(A)You shall not add to it or take from it.

³¹ But you, stand here by me, and ^(A)I will tell you the whole commandment and the statutes and the rules that you shall teach them, that they may do them in the land that I am giving them to possess.’ ³² You shall be careful therefore to do as the Lord your God has commanded you. ^(B)You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. ^33 (C)You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and ^(D)that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.

The Greatest Commandment

6 “Now this is ^(E)the commandment—the statutes and the rules^[a]—that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, ² that ^(F)you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and ^(G)that your days may be long.

Introduction to the Law

⁴⁴ This is the law that Moses set before the people of Israel. ⁴⁵ These are the testimonies, the statutes, and the rules, which Moses spoke to the people of Israel when they came out of Egypt,

³⁷ And ^(A)you shall observe all my statutes and all my rules, and do them: I am the Lord.”

The Reading of the Law

⁹ Then Moses ^(A)wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, ^(B)who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.
