^17 (A)And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, ^(B)practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and ^(C)sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

^6 (A)Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced ^(B)soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

³ But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel; indeed ^(A)he made his son pass through the fire, according to the ^(B)abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out from before the children of Israel.

¹⁰ There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter ^(A)pass^[a] through the fire, ^(B)or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, ^11 (C)or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or ^(D)one who calls up the dead. ¹² For all who do these things are ^[b]an abomination to the Lord, and ^(E)because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.

³⁷ For they have committed adultery, and ^(A)blood is on their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols, and even sacrificed their sons ^(B)whom they bore to Me, passing them through the fire, to devour them.

²⁰ So Ahab said to Elijah, ^(A)“Have you found me, O my enemy?”

And he answered, “I have found you, because ^(B)you have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord:

²⁵ But ^(A)there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, ^(B)because Jezebel his wife ^[a]stirred him up.
