¹⁴ For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from ^(A)Tirzah, came to Samaria, and struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria and killed him; and he reigned in his place.

¹⁷ Then Jeroboam’s wife arose and departed, and came to ^(A)Tirzah. ^(B)When she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.

¹⁷ Then Omri and all Israel with him went up from Gibbethon, and they besieged Tirzah.

³³ In the third year of Asa king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah became king over all Israel in Tirzah, and reigned twenty-four years.
