²⁸ Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam and all that he did, and his might, how he fought, and how he restored ^(A)Damascus and ^(B)Hamath to Judah in Israel, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

²⁴ And he gathered men about him and became leader of a marauding band, ^(A)after the killing by David. And they went to Damascus and lived there and made him king in Damascus.
