²⁵ He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath^(A) to the Dead Sea,^[a](B) in accordance with the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah^(C) son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.

¹⁷ Its western border was the Jordan in the Arabah,^(A) from Kinnereth^(B) to the Sea of the Arabah^(C) (that is, the Dead Sea^(D)), below the slopes of Pisgah.

³⁹ He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.^{(A) 40} For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish,^(B) so the Son of Man^(C) will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.^(D)

Jonah Flees From the Lord

1 The word of the Lord came to Jonah^(A) son of Amittai:^(B)

⁴ A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.”^(A) Jesus then left them and went away.

⁶⁵ So Solomon observed the festival^(A) at that time, and all Israel with him—a vast assembly, people from Lebo Hamath^(B) to the Wadi of Egypt.^(C) They celebrated it before the Lord our God for seven days and seven days more, fourteen days in all.

²¹ So they went up and explored the land from the Desert of Zin^(A) as far as Rehob,^(B) toward Lebo Hamath.^(C)
