¹³ So Joash ^(A)rested^[a] with his fathers. Then Jeroboam sat on his throne. And Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

²⁸ Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did—his might, how he made war, and how he recaptured for Israel, from ^(A)Damascus and Hamath, ^(B)what had belonged to Judah—are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? ²⁹ So Jeroboam ^[a]rested with his fathers, the kings of Israel. ¹⁰ So ^(B)David ^[a]rested with his fathers, and was buried in ^(C)the City of David.

²¹ Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king ^(A)rests with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be counted as offenders.”

^12 (A)“When your days are fulfilled and you ^(B)rest with your fathers, ^(C)I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.
