^16 (A)The money from the trespass offerings and the money from the sin offerings was not brought into the house of the Lord. ^(B)It belonged to the priests.

^7 (A)The trespass offering is like the sin offering; there is one law for them both: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.

^15 (A)“If a person commits a trespass, and sins unintentionally in regard to the holy things of the Lord, then ^(B)he shall bring to the Lord as his trespass offering a ram without blemish from the flocks, with your valuation in shekels of silver according to ^(C)the shekel of the sanctuary, as a trespass offering. ¹⁶ And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done in regard to the holy thing, ^(D)and shall add one-fifth to it and give it to the priest. ^(E)So the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

¹⁷ “If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, ^(F)though he does not know it, yet he is ^(G)guilty and shall bear his ^[a]iniquity. ^18 (H)And he shall bring to the priest a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation, as a trespass offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him regarding his ignorance in which he erred and did not know it, and it shall be forgiven him.

^29 (A)And he shall lay his hand on the head of the sin offering, and kill the sin offering at the place of the burnt offering.

²⁴ And ^(A)he shall lay his hand on the head of the goat, and kill it at the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord. It is a sin offering.

¹⁹ “All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the Lord, I have given to you and your sons and daughters with you as an ordinance forever; ^(A)it is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord with you and your descendants with you.”

Offerings for Support of the Priests

⁸ And the Lord spoke to Aaron: “Here, ^(A)I Myself have also given you ^[a]charge of My heave offerings, all the holy gifts of the children of Israel; I have given them ^(B)as a portion to you and your sons, as an ordinance forever. ⁹ This shall be yours of the most holy things reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every ^(C)grain offering and every ^(D)sin offering and every ^(E)trespass offering which they render to Me, shall be most holy for you and your sons.

⁸ But if the man has no ^[a]relative to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for the wrong must go to the Lord for the priest, in addition to ^(A)the ram of the atonement with which atonement is made for him. ⁹ Every ^(B)offering^[b] of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring to the priest, shall be ^(C)his. ¹⁰ And every man’s ^[c]holy things shall be his; whatever any man gives the priest shall be ^(D)his.’ ”
