¹⁴ And when she looked, there was the king standing ^(A)by the pillar, according to the custom, and the captains and the trumpeters beside the king, and all the people of the land rejoicing and ^(B)blowing trumpets. And Athaliah ^(C)tore her clothes and cried, “Treason! Treason!”

³¹ And the king ^(A)stood in his place ^(B)and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.

Rejoicing in Heaven

19 After this I heard ^(A)what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,

⁶ Then I heard what seemed to be ^(J)the voice of a great multitude, like ^(K)the roar of many waters and ^(L)like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,

³⁷ As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—^(A)the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice ^(B)for all the mighty works that they had seen,

³⁹ There Zadok the priest took the horn of ^(A)oil from the tent and ^(B)anointed Solomon. ^(C)Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, ^(D)“Long live King Solomon!” ⁴⁰ And all the people went up after him, playing on pipes, and rejoicing with great joy, so that the earth was split by their noise.

⁴⁰ And also their relatives, from as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came bringing food on donkeys and on camels and on mules and on oxen, abundant provisions of flour, ^(A)cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, and wine and oil, oxen and sheep, for there was joy in Israel.
