¹⁰ And the priest gave the captains of hundreds the spears and shields which had belonged to King David, ^(A)that were in the temple of the Lord.

⁹ And Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small ^(A)shields which had belonged to King David, that were in the temple of God. ¹⁰ Then he set all the people, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and by the temple, all around the king.

The Ark Brought into the Temple

5 So ^(A)all the work that Solomon had done for the house of the Lord was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and all the furnishings. And he put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

²⁶ This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things ^(A)which King David and the heads of fathers’ houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated. ²⁷ Some of the ^[a]spoils won in battles they dedicated to maintain the house of the Lord.

⁹ So the priest said, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in ^(A)the Valley of Elah, ^(B)there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it. For there is no other except that one here.”

And David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.”
