2 Esdras 12:16-18

16 This is the interpretation of the twelve wings that you saw.(A)

17 “As for your hearing a voice that spoke, coming not from the eagle’s[a] heads but from the midst of its body, 18 this is the interpretation: In the midst of[b] the time of that kingdom great struggles shall arise, and it shall be in danger of falling; nevertheless, it shall not fall then but shall regain its former power.[c](B)
