Ang Salita ng Dios (Tagalog Contemporary Bible)
5 Pinatibay niya ang itaas at ilalim na bahagi ng Bet Horon. Pinaligiran niya ito ng mga pader at pinalagyan ng pintuan na may mga kandado. 6 Ganito rin ang ginawa niya sa Baalat at sa iba pang mga lungsod na lagayan ng kanyang mga pangangailangan, mga karwahe at mga kabayo. Ipinatayo niya ang lahat ng gusto niyang ipatayo sa Jerusalem, Lebanon at sa lahat ng lupaing sakop niya.
7-8 May mga tao pang naiwan sa Israel na hindi mga Israelita. Sila ang mga lahi ng mga Heteo, Amoreo, Perezeo, Hiveo at mga Jebuseo, na hindi nalipol ng mga Israelita nang agawin nila ang lupain ng Canaan. Ginawa silang alipin ni Solomon at pinilit na gumawa, at nanatili silang alipin hanggang ngayon.

5 He rebuilt Upper Beth Horon(A) and Lower Beth Horon as fortified cities, with walls and with gates and bars, 6 as well as Baalath(B) and all his store cities, and all the cities for his chariots and for his horses[a]—whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon and throughout all the territory he ruled.
7 There were still people left from the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites(C) (these people were not Israelites).
