Ang Paghahanda para sa Paskwa
30 Inanyayahan ni Ezequias ang buong Israel at Juda upang idaos sa Jerusalem ang Paskwa ni Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel. Pinadalhan din niya ng sulat ang mga taga-Efraim at Manases. 2 Pinag-usapan(A) ng hari, ng mga pinuno at ng buong kapulungan na idaos ang Paskwa sa ikalawang buwan. 3 Hindi ito naidaos sa takdang panahon sapagkat maraming pari ang hindi pa nakakapaglinis ng sarili ayon sa Kautusan at kaunti lamang ang taong natipon noon sa Jerusalem. 4 Nagkaisa ang hari at ang buong kapulungan sa ganoong panukala. 5 Kaya't ibinalita nila sa buong Israel mula Beer-seba hanggang Dan na kailangang dumalo ang lahat sa Jerusalem upang idaos ang paskwa ni Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel. Ayon sa ulat, ito ang pagtitipong dinaluhan ng pinakamaraming tao. 6 Ganito ang nakasaad sa paanyaya na ipinadala ng hari at ng mga pinuno: “Mga taga-Israel, magbalik-loob kayo kay Yahweh, ang Diyos nina Abraham, Isaac at Israel upang kalingain niyang muli ang mga nakaligtas sa inyo na di nabihag ng mga hari ng Asiria. 7 Huwag ninyong tularan ang ugali ng inyong mga ninuno at mga kababayan na nagtaksil sa Panginoong Yahweh. Kaya matindi ang parusa sa kanila ng Diyos tulad ng inyong nakikita ngayon. 8 Huwag maging matigas ang ulo ninyo katulad nila. Sa halip, maging masunurin kayo kay Yahweh. Dumulog kayo sa kanyang Templo na inilaan niya para sa kanyang sarili magpakailanman. Paglingkuran ninyo ang Diyos ninyong si Yahweh upang mapawi ang galit niya sa inyo. 9 Kung manunumbalik kayo sa kanya, ang inyong mga kababayan at kamag-anak na dinalang-bihag sa ibang bansa ay kahahabagan ng mga bumihag sa kanila at pababalikin sila sa lupaing ito. Mahabagin at mapagpala ang Diyos ninyong si Yahweh at tatanggapin niya kayo kung kayo'y manunumbalik sa kanya.”
10 Pinuntahan ng mga sugo ang lahat ng lunsod sa lupain ng Efraim at Manases hanggang sa Zebulun ngunit pinagtawanan lamang sila ng mga ito. 11 Mayroon din namang ilan mula sa Asher, Manases at Zebulun na nagpakumbaba at pumunta sa Jerusalem. 12 Ngunit niloob ng Diyos na dumalong lahat ang mga taga-Juda at magkaisa silang sumunod sa utos ng hari at ng mga pinuno nila ayon sa salita ni Yahweh.
Ang Pagdiriwang ng Paskwa
13 Napakaraming pumunta sa Jerusalem noong ikalawang buwan upang ipagdiwang ang Pista ng Tinapay na Walang Pampaalsa. 14 Inalis nila ang mga altar sa Jerusalem na pinagsunugan ng mga handog at ng insenso at itinapon ang mga ito sa Libis ng Kidron. 15 Pinatay nila ang mga korderong pampaskwa noong ikalabing apat na araw ng ikalawang buwan. Napahiya ang mga pari at Levita kaya naglinis sila ng sarili at nagdala ng mga handog na susunugin sa Templo ni Yahweh. 16 Muli nilang ginampanan ang dati nilang tungkulin ayon sa Kautusan ni Moises na lingkod ng Diyos. Iwinisik ng mga pari sa altar ang dugong ibinigay sa kanila ng mga Levita. 17 Marami sa kapulungan ang hindi pa nakakapaglinis ng kanilang sarili ayon sa Kautusan kaya nagpatay ang mga Levita ng mga korderong pampaskwa upang maging banal ang mga ito para kay Yahweh. 18 Kahit marami ang hindi pa nakakapaglinis ng kanilang sarili ayon sa Kautusan, kumain na rin sila ng korderong pampaskwa. Karamihan sa mga ito ay buhat sa Efraim, Manases, Isacar at Zebulun. Gayunman, nanalangin ng ganito si Ezequias para sa kanila: 19 “O Yahweh, Diyos ng aming mga ninuno, patawarin po ninyo ang lahat nang sumasamba sa inyo nang buong puso kahit hindi sila nakapaglinis ng sarili ayon sa kautusan.” 20 Pinakinggan ni Yahweh si Ezequias at pinatawad ang mga tao. 21 Pitong araw nilang ipinagdiwang ang Pista ng Tinapay na Walang Pampaalsa. Buong lakas na umawit ng papuri araw-araw ang mga pari at ang mga Levita kay Yahweh. 22 Pinuri ni Haring Ezequias ang mga Levita dahil sa maayos nilang pangangasiwa ng pagsamba kay Yahweh. Pitong araw na ipinagdiwang ng bayan ang kapistahang iyon. Nag-alay sila ng mga handog pangkapayapaan, kumain ng mga handog at nagpuri kay Yahweh, ang Diyos ng kanilang mga ninuno.
23 Nagkaisa ang kapulungan na ipagpatuloy ng pitong araw pa ang pista. Kaya, pitong araw pa silang nagsaya. 24 Nagkaloob si Haring Ezequias ng sanlibong toro at pitong libong tupa para sa pagtitipong iyon. Ang mga pinuno naman ay nagkaloob ng sanlibong toro at sanlibong tupa para sa mga tao. Dahil dito, maraming mga pari ang naglinis ng kanilang sarili ayon sa Kautusan. 25 Masayang-masaya ang lahat, ang mga mamamayan ng Juda, ang mga pari at ang mga Levita. Gayundin ang lahat ng dumalo buhat sa Israel at ang mga dayuhang nakikipanirahan sa Israel at sa Juda. 26 Noon lamang nagkaroon ng ganoong pagdiriwang sa Jerusalem mula noong panahon ni Solomon na anak ni Haring David ng Israel. 27 Tumayo ang mga pari at ang mga Levita at binasbasan ang mga tao. Ang panalangin nila'y nakaabot sa tahanan ng Diyos sa langit.

Hezekiah Keeps the Passover
30 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the Lord God of Israel. 2 For the king and his leaders and all the assembly in Jerusalem had agreed to keep the Passover in the second (A)month. 3 For they could not keep it (B)at [a]the regular time, (C)because a sufficient number of priests had not consecrated themselves, nor had the people gathered together at Jerusalem. 4 And the matter pleased the king and all the assembly. 5 So they [b]resolved to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem, since they had not done it for a long time in the prescribed manner.
6 Then the (D)runners went throughout all Israel and Judah with the letters from the king and his leaders, and spoke according to the command of the king: “Children of Israel, (E)return to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel; then He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of (F)the kings of (G)Assyria. 7 And do not be (H)like your fathers and your brethren, who trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, so that He (I)gave them up to (J)desolation, as you see. 8 Now do not be (K)stiff-necked,[c] as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord; and enter His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the Lord your God, (L)that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you. 9 For if you return to the Lord, your brethren and your children will be treated with (M)compassion by those who lead them captive, so that they may come back to this land; for the Lord your God is (N)gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you (O)return to Him.”
10 So the runners passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun; but (P)they laughed at them and mocked them. 11 Nevertheless (Q)some from Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem. 12 Also (R)the hand of God was on Judah to give them singleness of heart to obey the command of the king and the leaders, (S)at the word of the Lord.
13 Now many people, a very great assembly, gathered at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of (T)Unleavened Bread in the second month. 14 They arose and took away the (U)altars that were in Jerusalem, and they took away all the incense altars and cast them into the Brook (V)Kidron. 15 Then they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites [d]were (W)ashamed, and [e]sanctified themselves, and brought the burnt offerings to the house of the Lord. 16 They stood in their (X)place [f]according to their custom, according to the Law of Moses the man of God; the priests sprinkled the blood received from the hand of the Levites. 17 For there were many in the assembly who had not [g]sanctified themselves; (Y)therefore the Levites had charge of the slaughter of the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the Lord. 18 For a multitude of the people, (Z)many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, (AA)yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone 19 who (AB)prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.” 20 And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
21 So the children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept (AC)the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing to the Lord, accompanied by loud instruments. 22 And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites (AD)who taught the good knowledge of the Lord; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and (AE)making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.
23 Then the whole assembly agreed to keep the feast (AF)another seven days, and they kept it another seven days with gladness. 24 For Hezekiah king of Judah (AG)gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep, and the leaders gave to the assembly a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests (AH)sanctified[h] themselves. 25 The whole assembly of Judah rejoiced, also the priests and Levites, all the assembly that came from Israel, the sojourners (AI)who came from the land of Israel, and those who dwelt in Judah. 26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of (AJ)Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 Then the priests, the Levites, arose and (AK)blessed the people, and their voice was heard; and their prayer came up to (AL)His holy dwelling place, to heaven.

2 For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.
3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4 And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.
5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
6 So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the Lord, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
9 For if ye turn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.

15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord.
18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord pardon every one
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.
22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the Lord: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

24 For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
25 And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
27 Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.

Hezekiah Celebrates the Passover
30 Hezekiah sent word to all Israel(A) and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh,(B) inviting them to come to the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover(C) to the Lord, the God of Israel. 2 The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate(D) the Passover in the second month. 3 They had not been able to celebrate it at the regular time because not enough priests had consecrated(E) themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem. 4 The plan seemed right both to the king and to the whole assembly. 5 They decided to send a proclamation throughout Israel, from Beersheba to Dan,(F) calling the people to come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel. It had not been celebrated in large numbers according to what was written.
6 At the king’s command, couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and from his officials, which read:
“People of Israel, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that he may return to you who are left, who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 7 Do not be like your parents(G) and your fellow Israelites, who were unfaithful(H) to the Lord, the God of their ancestors, so that he made them an object of horror,(I) as you see. 8 Do not be stiff-necked,(J) as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger(K) will turn away from you. 9 If you return(L) to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion(M) by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate.(N) He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”
10 The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but people scorned and ridiculed(O) them. 11 Nevertheless, some from Asher, Manasseh and Zebulun humbled(P) themselves and went to Jerusalem.(Q) 12 Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity(R) of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the Lord.
13 A very large crowd of people assembled in Jerusalem to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread(S) in the second month. 14 They removed the altars(T) in Jerusalem and cleared away the incense altars and threw them into the Kidron Valley.(U)
15 They slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed and consecrated(V) themselves and brought burnt offerings to the temple of the Lord. 16 Then they took up their regular positions(W) as prescribed in the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests splashed against the altar the blood handed to them by the Levites. 17 Since many in the crowd had not consecrated themselves, the Levites had to kill(X) the Passover lambs for all those who were not ceremonially clean and could not consecrate their lambs[a] to the Lord. 18 Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves,(Y) yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone 19 who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary.” 20 And the Lord heard(Z) Hezekiah and healed(AA) the people.(AB)
21 The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Festival of Unleavened Bread(AC) for seven days with great rejoicing, while the Levites and priests praised the Lord every day with resounding instruments dedicated to the Lord.[b]
22 Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the Lord. For the seven days they ate their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings and praised[c] the Lord, the God of their ancestors.
23 The whole assembly then agreed to celebrate(AD) the festival seven more days; so for another seven days they celebrated joyfully. 24 Hezekiah king of Judah provided(AE) a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep and goats for the assembly, and the officials provided them with a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep and goats. A great number of priests consecrated themselves. 25 The entire assembly of Judah rejoiced, along with the priests and Levites and all who had assembled from Israel(AF), including the foreigners who had come from Israel and also those who resided in Judah. 26 There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon(AG) son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 The priests and the Levites stood to bless(AH) the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.
