Tulong sa mga Kapatid na Nangangailangan
9 Hindi na kailangang sumulat pa ako sa inyo tungkol sa pagtulong sa mga kapatid sa iglesya. 2 Alam kong handa na kayong tumulong, kaya't ipinagmamalaki ko kayo sa mga taga-Macedonia. Ang sabi ko'y handa na kayong mga taga-Acaya noon pang nakaraang taon, at dahil dito'y lalo silang sumigla sa pagtulong. 3 Kaya't pinapapunta ko riyan ang mga kapatid na ito upang mapatunayang tama ang aming pagmamalaki tungkol sa inyo, at nang maihanda na ninyo ang inyong tulong, gaya ng sinabi ko. 4 Kung hindi, kung may mga taga-Macedonia na sumama sa akin at makita nilang hindi pala kayo handa, baka mapahiya ako at pati kayo. 5 Kaya't pinakiusapan ko ang mga kapatid na mauna riyan, upang maihanda ang tulong na ipinangako ninyo. Sa gayon, makikita na talagang kusang-loob ang pagbibigay ninyo at hindi sapilitan.
6 Ito ang ibig kong sabihin: ang nagtatanim ng kakaunti ay aani ng kakaunti, at ang nagtatanim ng marami ay aani ng marami. 7 Ang(A) bawat isa'y dapat magbigay ayon sa kanyang pasya, maluwag sa loob at hindi napipilitan lamang, sapagkat iniibig ng Diyos ang nagbibigay nang may kagalakan. 8 Magagawa ng Diyos na pasaganain kayo sa lahat ng bagay, at higit pa sa inyong pangangailangan, upang sumagana kayo para sa mabubuting gawa. 9 Tulad(B) ng nasusulat,
“Siya'y masaganang nagbibigay sa mga dukha;
ang kanyang kabutihan ay walang hanggan.”
10 Ang(C) Diyos na nagbibigay ng binhing itatanim at tinapay na makakain, ang siya ring magbibigay sa inyo ng binhi, at magpapalago nito upang magbunga nang sagana ang inyong kabutihang-loob. 11 Pasasaganain niya kayo sa lahat ng bagay upang mas marami ang inyong matulungan. Sa gayon, lalong darami ang magpapasalamat sa Diyos dahil sa inyong tulong na dadalhin namin sa kanila. 12 Ang paglilingkod ninyo upang tumulong sa mga kapatid ay hindi lamang makakatugon sa kanilang pangangailangan, kundi magiging dahilan pa ng nag-uumapaw na pagpapasalamat nila sa Diyos. 13 Ang bukas-palad ninyong pagbibigay sa kanila at sa lahat ang siyang magpapatunay na matapat ninyong sinusunod ang Magandang Balita ni Cristo. Dahil diyan, magpupuri sila sa Diyos. 14 Kaya't buong pagmamahal nila kayong ipapanalangin, dahil sa di-masukat na kagandahang-loob ng Diyos sa inyo. 15 Salamat sa Diyos dahil sa kanyang kaloob na walang kapantay!

9 There is no need(A) for me to write to you about this service(B) to the Lord’s people.(C) 2 For I know your eagerness to help,(D) and I have been boasting(E) about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year(F) you in Achaia(G) were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action. 3 But I am sending the brothers(H) in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove hollow, but that you may be ready, as I said you would be.(I) 4 For if any Macedonians(J) come with me and find you unprepared, we—not to say anything about you—would be ashamed of having been so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers(K) to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift,(L) not as one grudgingly given.(M)
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.(N) 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,(O) not reluctantly or under compulsion,(P) for God loves a cheerful giver.(Q) 8 And God is able(R) to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,(S) you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food(V) will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.(W) 11 You will be enriched(X) in every way so that you can be generous(Y) on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.(Z)
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs(AA) of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.(AB) 13 Because of the service(AC) by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God(AD) for the obedience that accompanies your confession(AE) of the gospel of Christ,(AF) and for your generosity(AG) in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God(AH) for his indescribable gift!(AI)

9 Now (A)it is superfluous for me to write to you about (B)the ministry for the saints, 2 for I know your readiness, (C)of which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready (D)since last year. And your zeal has stirred up most of them. 3 But (E)I am sending[a] the brothers so that our boasting about you may not prove empty in this matter, so that you may be ready, (F)as I said you would be. 4 Otherwise, if some Macedonians (G)come with me and find that you are not ready, we would be humiliated—to say nothing of you—for being so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to go on ahead to you and arrange in advance for the (H)gift[b] you have promised, so that it may be ready (I)as a willing gift, (J)not as an exaction.[c]
The Cheerful Giver
6 The point is this: (K)whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully[d] will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, (L)not reluctantly or under compulsion, for (M)God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And (N)God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency[e] in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written,
(O)“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
10 He who supplies (P)seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and (Q)increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 (R)You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which (S)through us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying (T)the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13 By their approval of this service, (U)they[f] will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your (V)confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, 14 while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 (W)Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
