Ang Bagong Katawan
5 Alam natin na ang ating katawang panlupa ay parang bahay na ating tinutuluyan habang nasa mundo pa tayo, at itoʼy masisira. Ngunit alam din natin na may inihandang katawang panlangit ang Dios para sa atin na hindi mamamatay kailanman. Ang katawang ito ay ginawa ng Dios at hindi ng tao. 2 Dumaraing tayo sa ngayon, dahil pinananabikan nating maisuot na ang katawang panlangit. 3 At kapag nangyari ito, hindi matatagpuang hubad ang ating kaluluwa. 4 Habang nandito pa tayo sa ating katawan, dumadaing tayo dahil sa mga paghihirap. Hindi dahil sa gusto na nating mamatay, kundi dahil sa gusto na nating magkaroon ng bagong katawan, para mapalitan na ang katawang may kamatayan ng katawang walang kamatayan. 5 Ang Dios na rin ang siyang naghanda sa atin para tanggapin natin ang bagong katawan, at bilang katiyakan, ibinigay niya sa atin ang kanyang Banal na Espiritu.
6 Kaya panatag ang aming kalooban, kahit na alam namin na habang nabubuhay pa tayo sa ating katawan ay wala pa tayo sa tahanan ng Panginoon. 7 Sapagkat namumuhay tayo sa pananampalataya at hindi ayon sa mga bagay na nakikita. 8 Hindi kami pinanghihinaan ng loob, kahit na mas gusto naming iwanan ang aming katawan at makapiling na ang Panginoon. 9 Kaya naman, sinisikap naming malugod ang Dios sa amin, maging dito man o sa piling na niya. 10 Sapagkat haharap tayong lahat kay Cristo para hatulan. Tatanggapin ng bawat isa ang nararapat na kabayaran sa kanyang mga ginawa, mabuti man o masama, nang nabubuhay pa siya sa mundong ito.
Nakabalik Tayo sa Dios Dahil kay Cristo
11 Kaya nga, dahil may takot kami sa Panginoon, ginagawa namin ang lahat para mahikayat ang mga tao na manumbalik sa kanya. Alam ng Dios ang tunay naming pagkatao, at umaasa akong alam din ninyo ito. 12 Hindi dahil sa ibinibida na naman namin ang aming sarili, kundi dahil gusto namin na may maipagmalaki kayo tungkol sa amin, para may maisagot kayo sa mga taong pumupuri lamang sa mga bagay na panlabas, at hindi sa nilalaman ng puso. 13 Kung magmukha man kaming nasisiraan ng bait, itoʼy para sa Dios. At kung kami naman ay matino, itoʼy para sa inyong kapakanan. 14 Sapagkat ang pag-ibig ni Cristo ang siyang nag-uudyok sa amin na sundin ang kanyang kalooban. Kumbinsido kami na namatay si Cristo para sa lahat, kaya maituturing din na namatay ang lahat. 15 Namatay siya para sa lahat, para ang lahat ng nabubuhay ngayon ay hindi na mamumuhay para sa sarili, kundi para sa kanya na namatay at nabuhay para sa kanila.
16 Kaya ngayon, hindi na namin tinitingnan ang mga tao ayon sa batayan ng mga hindi kumikilala sa Dios. Noong una, ganoon ang pagtingin namin kay Cristo, pero hindi na ngayon. 17 Ang sinumang nakay Cristo ay isa nang bagong nilalang. Wala na ang dati niyang pagkatao; binago na siya. 18 Ang lahat ng itoʼy gawa ng Dios na nagpanumbalik sa atin sa kanya sa pamamagitan ni Cristo. At ibinigay niya sa amin ang tungkuling papanumbalikin ang mga tao sa kanya. 19 At ito nga ang aming ibinabalita: Pinapanumbalik ng Dios ang mga tao sa kanya sa pamamagitan ni Cristo, at hindi na ibinibilang na laban sa kanila ang kanilang mga kasalanan. At kami ang kanyang pinagkatiwalaan na magpahayag ng mensaheng ito. 20 Kaya nga, mga sugo kami ni Cristo, at sa pamamagitan namin, nakikiusap ang Dios sa inyo na manumbalik na kayo sa kanya. 21 Kailanmaʼy hindi nagkasala si Cristo, ngunit alang-alang sa atin, itinuring siyang makasalanan para sa pamamagitan niyaʼy maituring tayong matuwid ng Dios.

5 Sabemos que, se esta tenda em que vivemos aqui na terra (o nosso corpo) for destruída, temos da parte de Deus uma nova morada. É uma casa eterna no céu, e que não foi feita por mãos humanas. 2 Enquanto estamos nesta tenda, nós gememos, desejando mudar para a nossa habitação que vem do céu 3 e que nos cobrirá como uma roupa, para que não fiquemos nus. 4 De fato, nós que estamos nesta tenda, que é o nosso corpo, passamos por dificuldades e gememos, pois não queremos ser despidos. Ao contrário! Nós queremos nos vestir para que aquilo que é mortal seja absorvido pela vida. 5 Foi Deus quem nos preparou para isto e nos deu o seu Espírito como garantia de que ele vai nos dar tudo o que prometeu.
6 Portanto, nós estamos sempre confiantes porque sabemos que, enquanto vivermos neste corpo, estamos longe do Senhor. 7 Pois vivemos pela nossa fé e não por aquilo que podemos ver. 8 Nós estamos confiantes e preferimos deixar nossos corpos para ir morar com o Senhor. 9 E é por isso que também nos esforçamos para ser agradáveis a Deus, quer vivamos neste corpo, na terra, ou na presença do Senhor, no céu. 10 Todos nós temos que comparecer diante de Cristo para sermos julgados. Cada um receberá o que merece. Seremos julgados de acordo com o bem ou o mal que tivermos feito enquanto vivemos neste corpo terrestre.
Ajudando as pessoas a serem amigas de Deus
11 Portanto, uma vez que sabemos o que quer dizer temer ao Senhor, nós tentamos convencer as pessoas a aceitarem a verdade. Deus nos conhece completamente e espero que vocês também nos conheçam completamente. 12 Não estamos falando bem de nós mesmos para vocês novamente. Pelo contrário, estamos lhes dando uma oportunidade de terem orgulho de nós. Assim, vocês vão ter o que responder para aqueles que se orgulham das coisas que podem ser vistas, e não se importam com o que está no coração. 13 Pois, se enlouquecemos, é para Deus; e se temos juízo, é para o bem de vocês. 14 O amor que Cristo tem por nós nos domina, pois determinamos isto: um morreu por todos, portanto todos morreram. 15 E ele morreu por todos, para que os que vivem não vivam mais para si mesmos, mas vivam para aquele que morreu e ressuscitou por todos.
16 De agora em diante, nós não consideramos ninguém da maneira como o mundo considera. É verdade que antes considerávamos a Cristo como o mundo considera, mas agora já não é assim que pensamos. 17 E assim, se alguém está em Cristo, isso significa que há uma nova criação. As coisas velhas já passaram; tudo é novo![a] 18 Tudo isto vem de Deus, que estabeleceu a paz entre nós e ele por meio de Cristo. E Deus nos deu a responsabilidade de estabelecer a paz entre ele e todos. 19 Isto é: Deus estava em Cristo, estabelecendo paz entre o mundo e ele mesmo. Em Cristo, Deus não condena o mundo por seus pecados, e ele mesmo nos deu esta mensagem de paz. 20 Portanto, nós fomos enviados para falar em nome de Cristo, e é como se Deus estivesse chamando as pessoas por nosso intermédio. Em nome de Cristo, nós suplicamos a vocês: façam as pazes com Deus. 21 Cristo não tinha nenhum pecado, mas Deus colocou sobre ele a culpa dos nossos pecados. Dessa forma nós pudemos ser declarados justos diante de Deus por meio de Cristo.

Earthly Tents, Eternal Dwellings
5 For we know that if the tent, our earthly home, is torn down, we have a building from God—a home not made with human hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling— 3 if indeed, after we have put it on, we will not be found naked. 4 For we groan while we are in this tent—burdened because we don’t want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the One who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Ruach as a pledge. 6 Therefore we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether at home or absent, we make it our aim to be pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah, so that each one may receive what is due for the things he did while in the body—whether good or bad.
Ambassadors for Messiah
11 Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord,[a] we are trying to persuade people, but what we are is known to God—and I hope it is known to your consciences as well. 12 For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but giving you an opportunity for boasting about us, so that you may have something to answer those who boast in outward appearance and not in the heart. [b] 13 For if we are out of our minds, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Messiah compels us, since we have concluded that One died for all; as a result all died. 15 And He died for all so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.
16 So from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Messiah according to the flesh, yet now we no longer know Him this way. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [c] 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Messiah and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Messiah God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them; and He has entrusted the message of reconciliation to us. 20 We are therefore ambassadors for Messiah, as though God were making His appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God. 21 He made the One who knew no sin to become a sin offering on our behalf,[d] so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
