7 Yamang taglay natin ang mga pangakong ito, mga minamahal, ay magsipaglinis tayo sa lahat ng karumihan ng laman at ng espiritu, na pakasakdalin ang kabanalan sa takot sa Dios.
2 Buksan ninyo sa amin ang inyong mga puso: hindi namin inapi ang sinoman, hindi namin ipinasama ang sinoman, hindi namin dinaya ang sinoman.
3 Hindi ko sinasabi ito upang kayo'y hatulan: sapagka't sinabi ko na nang una, na kayo'y nasa aming mga puso upang magkasamang mamatay at magkasamang mabuhay.
4 Malaki ang katapangan ko ng pagsasalita sa inyo, malaki ang aking kapurihan dahil sa inyo: ako'y puspos ng kaaliwan, nananagana sa katuwaan sa lahat ng aming kapighatian.
5 Sapagka't nagsidating man kami sa Macedonia ang aming laman ay hindi nagkaroon ng katiwasayan, kundi sa lahat kami ay pinipighati; sa labas ay mga pagbabaka, sa loob ay mga katakutan.
6 Gayon man ang Dios na umaaliw sa mabababang-loob, ay kami'y inaliw sa pamamagitan ng pagdating ni Tito;
7 At hindi lamang sa kaniyang pagdating, kundi naman sa kaaliwan ng inialiw sa kaniya dahil sa inyo, nang sa amin ay ibalita niya ang inyong pananabik, ang inyong kalumbayan, ang inyong pagmamalasakit dahil sa akin; ano pa't ako'y lubha pang nagalak.
8 Sapagka't bagaman ako'y nakapagpalumbay sa inyo sa aking sulat, ay hindi ko dinaramdam: bagama't aking dinamdam (sapagka't akin ngang natatalastas na ang sulat na yaon ay nakapagpalumbay sa inyo, bagama't sa maikling panahon lamang),
9 Ngayo'y nagagalak ako, hindi dahil sa inyong pagkalumbay, kundi dahil sa inyong mga pagkalumbay na ikapagsisisi; sapagka't kayo'y pinalumbay sa paraang ukol sa Dios, upang sa anoman ay huwag kayong mangagkaroon ng kalugihan dahil sa amin.
10 Sapagka't ang kalumbayang mula sa Dios, ay gumagawa ng pagsisisi sa ikaliligtas, na hindi ikalulungkot: datapuwa't ang kalumbayang ayon sa sanglibutan ay ikamamatay.
11 Narito nga, ito rin ang inyong ikinalulumbay na mula sa Dios, gaanong sikap na pagiingat ang sa inyo'y ginawa, oo't gaanong pagtatanggol ng inyong sarili, oo't gaanong pagkagalit, oo't gaanong katakutan, oo't gaanong pananabik, oo't gaanong pagmamalasakit, oo't gaanong paghihiganti! Sa lahat ay napakita kayong dalisay sa bagay na ito.
12 Kaya nga, bagama't ako'y sumulat sa inyo, ay hindi dahil doon sa gumawa ng kamalian, ni dahil doon sa nagbata ng kamalian, kundi upang maihayag sa inyo ang inyong masikap na pagiingat sa amin sa harapan ng Dios.
13 Kaya't kami'y pawang nangaaliw: at sa aming pagkaaliw ay bagkus pang nangagalak kami dahil sa kagalakan ni Tito, sapagka't ang kaniyang espiritu ay inaliw ninyong lahat.
14 Sapagka't kung ako ay nagmapuri ng anoman sa kaniya dahil sa inyo, ay hindi ako nahiya; datapuwa't kung paanong sinabi namin ang lahat ng mga bagay sa inyo sa katotohanan, ay gayon din naman ang aming pagmamapuri na ginawa ko sa harap ni Tito ay nasumpungang totoo.
15 At ang kaniyang pagibig ay lubha pang nanagana sa inyo, samantalang naaalaala niya ang pagtalima ninyong lahat, kung paanong siya'y tinanggap ninyo na may takot at panginginig.
16 Ako'y nagagalak na sa lahat ng mga bagay ay mayroon akong lubos na pagtitiwala sa inyo.
2 Corinthians 7
English Standard Version
7 Since we have these promises, beloved, (A)let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body[a] and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
Paul's Joy
2 (B)Make room in your hearts[b] for us. (C)We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one. 3 I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that (D)you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together. 4 I am acting with (E)great boldness toward you; (F)I have great pride in you; (G)I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy.
5 For even (H)when we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turn—(I)fighting without and fear within. 6 But (J)God, who comforts the downcast, (K)comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming but also by the comfort with which he was comforted by you, as he told us of your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more. 8 For (L)even if I made you grieve with my letter, I do not regret it—though (M)I did regret it, for I see that that letter grieved you, though only for a while. 9 As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but (N)because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us.
10 For (O)godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas (P)worldly grief produces death. 11 For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, (Q)what zeal, what punishment! At every point you have proved yourselves innocent in the matter. 12 So although I wrote to you, it was not for the sake of the one (R)who did the wrong, nor for the sake of the one who suffered the wrong, but in order that your earnestness for us might be revealed to you in the sight of God. 13 Therefore (S)we are comforted.
And besides our own comfort, we rejoiced still more at the joy of Titus, because his spirit (T)has been refreshed by you all. 14 For (U)whatever boasts I made to him about you, I was not put to shame. But just as everything we said to you (V)was true, so also our boasting before Titus has proved true. 15 And his affection for you is even greater, as he remembers (W)the obedience of you all, how you received him with fear and trembling. 16 I rejoice, because I have complete (X)confidence in you.

The Corinthians’ Repentance
7 Therefore,(A) having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
The Corinthians’ Repentance
2 Open your hearts to us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, (B)we have cheated no one. 3 I do not say this to condemn; for (C)I have said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together. 4 (D)Great is my boldness of speech toward you, (E)great is my boasting on your behalf. (F)I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.
5 For indeed, (G)when we came to Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but (H)we were troubled on every side. (I)Outside were conflicts, inside were fears. 6 Nevertheless (J)God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by (K)the coming of Titus, 7 and not only by his coming, but also by the [a]consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.
8 For even if I made you (L)sorry with my letter, I do not regret it; (M)though I did regret it. For I perceive that the same epistle made you sorry, though only for a while. 9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. 10 For (N)godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; (O)but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what (P)clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be (Q)clear in this matter. 12 Therefore, although I wrote to you, I did not do it for the sake of him who had done the wrong, nor for the sake of him who suffered wrong, (R)but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.
The Joy of Titus
13 Therefore we have been comforted in your comfort. And we rejoiced exceedingly more for the joy of Titus, because his spirit (S)has been refreshed by you all. 14 For if in anything I have boasted to him about you, I am not ashamed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting to Titus was found true. 15 And his affections are greater for you as he remembers (T)the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him. 16 Therefore I rejoice that (U)I have confidence in you in everything.
