¹¹ For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what ^(A)clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be ^(B)clear in this matter.

^15 (A)Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

²¹ I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the ^[a]elect angels that you observe these things without ^(A)prejudice, doing nothing with partiality. ²² Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor ^(B)share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure.

¹⁸ For he who serves Christ in ^[a]these things ^(A)is acceptable to God and approved by men.

⁷ and not only by his coming, but also by the ^[a]consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.

^19 (A)As many as I love, I rebuke and ^(B)chasten.^[a] Therefore be ^[b]zealous and repent.

²³ but ^(A)others save ^[a]with fear, ^(B)pulling them out of the ^[b]fire, hating even ^(C)the garment defiled by the flesh.

^2 (A)as newborn babes, desire the pure ^(B)milk of the word, that you may grow ^[a]thereby,
