2 Corinthians 11:8-10

International Standard Version

⁸I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you. ⁹When I was with you and needed something, I did not bother any of you, because our brothers who came from Macedonia supplied everything I needed. I kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and I will continue to do so.

¹⁰As surely as the truth of the Messiah^[a] is in me, my boasting will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia.

⁸I accepted pay from other churches, ·taking their money [^L“robbing” them] so I could serve you. ⁹If I needed something when I was with you, I did not ·trouble [burden] any of you. The brothers who came from Macedonia gave me all that I needed. I did not allow myself to ·depend on [become a burden to] you in any way, and I will ·never depend on you [^Lkeep doing this]. ¹⁰No one in Achaia [^Csouthern Greece; 1:1] will stop me from ·bragging [boasting] about that. ·I say this with the truth of Christ in me [or By Christ’s truth in me! ^Ca strong vow or oath].
