³ But I am afraid that, as the ^(A)serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ. ⁴ For if ^[a]one comes and preaches ^(B)another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a ^(C)different spirit which you have not received, or a ^(D)different gospel which you have not accepted, this you ^(E)tolerate ^(F)very well!

^3 (A)Grace to you and peace from ^[a]God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ who ^(B)gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from ^(C)this present evil ^[b]age, according to the will of ^(D)our God and Father, ^5 (E)to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.

Distortion of the Gospel

⁶ I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting ^(F)Him who called you ^[c]by the grace of Christ, for a ^(G)different gospel, ⁷ which is not just another account; but there are some who are ^(H)disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we, or ^(I)an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be ^[d](J)accursed!

³ And this is eternal life, that they may know You, ^(A)the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom ^(B)You have sent.

^7 (A)In ^[a]Him we have ^(B)redemption ^(C)through His blood, the ^(D)forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to ^(E)the riches of His grace

¹³ In ^[a]Him, ^[b]you also, after listening to ^(A)the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also ^[c]believed, you were ^(B)sealed in ^[d]Him with ^(C)the Holy Spirit of the promise, ¹⁴ who is a ^(D)first installment of ^(E)our inheritance, in regard to the ^(F)redemption of ^(G)God’s own possession, ^(H)to the praise of His glory.
