⁴ they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing^(A) in this service^(B) to the Lord’s people.^(C)

¹⁷ “After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor^(A) and to present offerings.

9 There is no need^(A) for me to write to you about this service^(B) to the Lord’s people.^(C)

³ Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve^(A) and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. ⁴ If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

¹⁶ This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.^(A) And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.^{(B) 17} If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them,^(C) how can the love of God be in that person?^{(D) 18} Dear children,^(E) let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.^(F)

¹⁰ God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.^(A)

¹⁰ Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good^(A) to all people, especially to those who belong to the family^(B) of believers.

²⁵ Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem^(A) in the service^(B) of the Lord’s people^(C) there. ²⁶ For Macedonia^(D) and Achaia^(E) were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem.^(F)

⁵ because I hear about your love for all his holy people^(A) and your faith in the Lord Jesus.^{(B) 6} I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ.
