¹² For ^(A)if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(A)not grudgingly or of ^[a]necessity; for ^(B)God loves a cheerful giver.

⁴² Then one poor widow came and threw in two ^[a]mites, which make a ^[b]quadrans. ⁴³ So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that ^(A)this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; ⁴⁴ for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, ^(B)her whole livelihood.”

The Widow’s Two Mites^(A)

21 And He looked up ^(B)and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, ² and He saw also a certain ^(C)poor widow putting in two ^(D)mites.^{[a] 3} So He said, “Truly I say to you ^(E)that this poor widow has put in more than all; ⁴ for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings ^[b]for God, but she out of her poverty put in ^(F)all the livelihood that she had.”

^10 (A)He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

²⁹ The children of Israel brought a ^(A)freewill offering to the Lord, all the men and women whose hearts were willing to bring material for all kinds of work which the Lord, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done.

²¹ Then everyone came ^(A)whose heart ^[a]was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they ^(B)brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. ²² They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heart, and brought ^(C)earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all ^(D)jewelry of gold, that is, every man who made an offering of gold to the Lord.

⁵ ‘Take from among you an offering to the Lord. ^(A)Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: ^(B)gold, silver, and bronze;

² “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an ^[a]offering. ^(A)From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering.
