Epilogue: Invitation and Warning

¹² “Look, I am coming soon!^(A) My reward is with me,^(B) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.^(C)

¹⁵ Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days^(A) of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia,^(B) not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;^(C)

⁸ God can testify^(A) how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

¹⁵ So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well.^(A) If I love you more,^(B) will you love me less?

⁸ because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do,^(A) whether they are slave or free.

Faith or Works of the Law

3 You foolish^(A) Galatians!^(B) Who has bewitched you?^(C) Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.^(D)

³ I do not say this to condemn you; I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts^(A) that we would live or die with you. ⁴ I have spoken to you with great frankness; I take great pride in you.^(B) I am greatly encouraged;^(C) in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.^(D)

⁴ For I wrote you^(A) out of great distress and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to grieve you but to let you know the depth of my love for you.
