¹⁴ because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead^(A) will also raise us with Jesus^(B) and present us with you to himself.^(C)

¹⁴ For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,^(A) and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.^(B)

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead^(A) is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies^(B) because of^[a] his Spirit who lives in you.

Doxology

²⁴ To him who is able^(A) to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence^(B) without fault^(C) and with great joy—

²⁷ and to present her to himself^(A) as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.^(B)

Awaiting the New Body

5 For we know that if the earthly^(A) tent^(B) we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. ² Meanwhile we groan,^(C) longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,^{(D) 3} because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. ⁴ For while we are in this tent, we groan^(E) and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,^(F) so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

¹⁴ By his power God raised the Lord from the dead,^(A) and he will raise us also.^(B)

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am^(A) the resurrection and the life.^(B) The one who believes^(C) in me will live, even though they die; ²⁶ and whoever lives by believing^(D) in me will never die.^(E) Do you believe this?”

² I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband,^(A) to Christ, so that I might present you^(B) as a pure virgin to him.
